Conventions in labeling Morris Water Maze Pools

Conventionally Morris Water maze Pools are labeled with N S E W,  N being the point which
shows highest on the video monitor screen (N on the pool is furthest from the operator).   Like this:

So the preferred positions for platforms are:

Platform 0 goes anywhere you wish, or 'park' it in the center. Putting the platforms like this will enable the software "quadrant" measures to work properly.
